How to Configure the Pop Up CTA
About the Pop-Up CTA
Looking for an easy way to display a popup to users within your community? How about additional actions within the popup for users to complete? With the Popup widget, you can easily do all of the above! Easily configurable and great for any homepage, site page, or landing page where an administrator may want to share important news or information as well as have users complete an action.

Setup and Configuration
Add the Pop-Up to A Site
Add a new widget to the page
NOTE: This MUST be added in the footer on your community homepage (to cascade to every page within the community).
Navigate to your community home page
Click on the pencil icon ()> Manage group (site) theme > edit this page
Search for the Popup Widget by Social Edge
In the page edit mode, click on Edit Footer
Hold down the mouse on the widget name (Popup by Social Edge) and drag it out onto the page and into the footer section
NOTE: If you are putting this widget on the homepage of your community ensure to Lock the widget so it will cascade to every page in the community.
Configuring the Pop-Up
Popup Title: Please enter a relevant title for your popup window.
Popup Text: Please enter any text that you would like to display within your popup window - this could be a description or additional information. This field is supported by a rich text editor, so has capabilities to insert media, and links, as well as format the text.
Button 1 Label: Please enter the text you would like to display for the first CTA within your popup window. If you do not enter any text - no CTA will display.
Button 1 Link: Please enter a link for your first CTA and where you would like it to redirect. Note: If you do not complete this field but complete the associated button label (Button 1 Label) the CTA will still appear but not link anywhere.
Button 2 Label: Please enter the text you would like to display for the second CTA within your popup window.
Button 2 Link: Please enter a link for your second CTA and where you would like it to redirect. Note: If you do not complete this field but complete the associated button label (Button 2 Label) the CTA will still appear but not link anywhere.
Number of Days: Please select a number of days - up to 7 days. This is to indicate - once a user has clicked through this Popup - how long from once the popup is dismissed will it show back up for a user.
Once you are done making all changes please click save. Please remember that this configuration supports the popup sitewide (it is inherited by every page within the site). Please note that you can not have more than one popup configured at a time at the site level.
Add the Pop-Up to a Group
Add a new widget to the overall group
NOTE: This MUST be added in the footer on your group homepage (to cascade to every page within the group).
Navigate to your group home page
Click on the pencil icon ()> Manage group theme > edit this page
Search for the Popup Widget by Social Edge
In the page edit mode, click on Edit Footer
Hold down the mouse on the widget name (Popup by Social Edge) and drag it out onto the page and into the footer section

You can only have one pop-up configured at the group level - but could have one pop-up configured per page in a group. If more than one popup is configured - the pop-up shown is contextual and the user will not see the second pop-up.
Add the Pop-Up to a Page
Add a new widget to a specific site page
NOTE: This can be added anywhere on a site page. Please note that you can also add popups to additional site pages - the system allows for one popup per site page at a time.
Navigate to the desired site page
Click on the pencil icon ()> Manage group (site) theme > edit this page

If a popup is configured at the site level or the group level (and locked to cascade across all pages) while a popup is also configured on a specific page the behavior is as follows. THe pop-up that is shown is contextual and once the user sees that first pop-up they will not be able to see the second.
Add the Pop-Up to a Profile Page
Add a new widget to the user profile page
NOTE: Only one popup can be configured on the profile page at a time.
Navigate to the profile page

Publish the Page
Navigate to the widget configuration
Press save
Navigate back to the side menu (where the pencil icon is) and click Publish
