List View | Grid View |
Filter Posts
You can choose to filter the posts using two different filters: all posts and featured posts. Featured posts will only filter and display posts that have been marked as featured.
Groups/ Content to Pull From
You can either pull blog posts from a specific blog or you can pull all blog posts from all blogs within a group (pull from a group).
If you have subgroups within a group and want to display ALL of those blog posts make sure to check off the box labeled Include blogs in selected groups subgroups
Sort Posts by
You can sort posts by most recent, most viewed, or most comments.
User Query Type
There are three different types of user query:
All - It will pull in ALL blog posts from EVERY site user
The Logged in User - It will pull in blog posts based on the logged in users level of access (for example if they are not a part of a sales group they will not see those blog posts. Whereas other users who are logged in and have access to the sales group will see those blog posts as well)
The Current User - It will pull in blog posts from any non logged in users
Excerpt Size
You want to enter the maximum number of characters to display for post excerpts. It is recommended to keep the excerpt around 250 characters so as to not make the preview text too lengthy to read.
Number of Posts to Display
Choose how any groups do display within the widget. For list view the recommended amount is 10 whereas for grid view its suggested to have 5 as it fills in and aligns in the widget.
Enable Paging & Filtering
If you choose to only show 5 groups (items) then there will be arrows to page over to the next set of groups (items). Filtering enables filters visible to users in which they can sort based on date, by view count, or by comment count. The other filter allows users to choose between descending and ascending. An example is pictured below:
Publish Page

Press save
