Looking for an easy way to visit recent groups or pages within your community? How about where you have recently participated in discussions, posted a blog, added an idea, etc? WIth the verint footprint widget you can easily do all of the above! Easily configurable and great for any homepage where a user may want to easily visit their recent groups, pages or see where they have recently contributed.

Setup and Configuration

Add the Verint Footprint Tracker by Social Edge

Add a new widget to the page 

 

NOTE: This widget is not intended to be used on the profile page within a Verint community as it will conflict with site permissions.

 

NOTE: This MUST be added in the footer on your community homepage (to cascade to every page within the community) or it has to be manually added into the footer of whatever pages you would like to be tracked. 

  • Navigate to your communities home page OR the group, space or project

  • Click on the pencil icon ()> Manage group (site) theme > edit this page

Hover Over the Pencil Icon
  • Search for the Footprint Tracker by Social Edge   

  • In the page edit mode, click on Edit Footer

 

 

  • Hold down the mouse on the widget name and drag it out onto the page and into the footer section

NOTE: If you are putting this widget on the homepage of your community ensure to Lock the widget so it will cascade to every page in the community. 



Add the Verint Footprint Widget

Add a new widget to the page 

  • Navigate to the group, space or project

  • Click on the pencil icon ()> Manage group theme > edit this page 

  • Search for the Footprint by Social Edge   

  • Hold down the mouse on the widget name and drag it out onto the page where you want to display it 

NOTE: Please add this widget to whatever page you will want the widget to display on. 

 

Configuring the Verint Footprint Widget 

Before You Start 


Now that you are in the configuration panel of the Verint Footprint Widget you need to navigate to the configuration of the widget. To do so navigate to the widget you want (edit the page) and click on the cog in the corner of the widget. 



 

 

 

 

Titles



  1. Header - The Same Position as widget title

  2. First Title - The first title in the list that goes above a list of where you have recently posted/ contributed (in the image below, the first title is you have contributed) 

  3. Second Title - Shows halfway down the list; will go above a list of your breadcrumbs or places that you last visited (in image below, the second title is last visited)

 

Options



  1. Content-Type - Each content type has the same setting (if you want a certain content type or types to not display navigate to that content tab and uncheck the enabled checkbox). 

  2. Title - The name of your content type (pictured below)

3. Icon Url - A link to the image next to your content title (pictured below)



4. Background Icon Color - A hex code that is used for the icon background color (ex: in the list pictured above blogs has an orange background)

 

Fonts

You can either inherit font from the theme or choose your own font and font sizing as well as font padding. 



  1. Title - Will be the font for the first and second title (In the image below, You have contributed and Last Visited) 

  2. Content - Will be the font for the content title types (In the image below blogs, ideas, etc)

  3. Link - If you choose to do a link instead of having a content type name, this font setting would apply to that




Publish the Page

  1. Navigate to the widget configuration

  2. Press save all 

 

  1. Navigate back to the side menu (where the pencil icon is) and click Publish
