About the Announcement Carousel Widget

Feature relevant news or information in your community with our Announcement Carousel. This widget has the capability to feature up to five rotating announcements, making it perfect for homepages and landing pages. Easily stay on brand by customizing the color theme and icon within the carousel.

Setup and Configuration

Add the Widget

The Announcement Carousel Widget requires one place in Verint to set up:

Add a new widget to the page 

• Navigate to the group, space or project

• Click on the pencil icon ()> Manage group theme > edit this page 

Open

• Search for the Announcement Carousel by Social Edge Widget 

• Hold down the mouse on the widget name and drag it out onto the page where you want to display it 

Configuring the Widget 

Before You Start 

Now that you are in the configuration panel of the Announcement Carousel Widget you need to navigate to the configuration of the widget. To do so navigate to the widget you want (edit the page) and click on the cog in the corner of the widget. 

Design 

Within the design tab you have the ability to add your main graphic (by uploading an image) in addition to setting the arrow colors using a HEX value. You can find colors here: Color Picker

• Image: You can choose to upload any image or graphic from your local device. 

• Font: You can select your font type by typing in the font type you would like. All font types are available within this text field.

  • NOTE: By default the font will be Helvetica

• Font Color: Choose from a color scale or enter a custom hex value for a color.

• Font Size: From the drop down list, select the font size you would like for your titles. 

• Arrows Color: Choose from a color scale or enter a custom hex value for a color.

Numbered Tabs

You have the ability to add up to 4 announcements - the configuration for each is separated by a numbered tab.

Within each tab, you can add a Title, Link URL, Font Name, and Font Color. You can find colors here: Color Picker

Publish Page

Within the widget configuration, press save  

Navigate back to the side menu (where the pencil icon is) and click Publish
