The Social Edge Subscription Management Bundle includes Automation Rules to help tailor a user’s subscription and notifications to the goals of your community.

Terms

​​Let’s speak the same language, shall we?



  • Register - A user becomes a community member by registering or logging in through SSO

  • Join/Add - A user can join a group or be added to a group

  • Subscription - refers to a subscription to a daily or weekly digest of a group, or a subscription to an application within a group

  • Digest settings - when a user joins, the user can subscribe to a daily or weekly digest, or not be subscribed at all

  • Notification settings - when a user joins or is added to a group, the user can subscribe to applications and notifications will be on

  • User Settings - a user can manage the notification settings for the Activity from their Subscriptions, Activity from their Network, Activity related to the content they write, Activity from their Calendar events, and Activity from Moderation (if they are a moderator). A user can enable or disable these notifications, and if enabled, the user can turn on or off Email and/or Live Alert

 

Subscription Management Bundle Rules Included

Rules included are:



  • Add Users to a Group and Subscribe to Applications When They Register

  • Subscribe Users to a Daily/Weekly Digest When They Register

  • Set User Default Notification Settings When They Register

  • Subscribe Users to Applications and Digests When They Join a Group

 

Installing the Automation Rules



Installation is simple using Verint's Automation Studio. 

 

Add Users to a Group and Subscribe to Applications When They Register



Allows the administrator to specify a group(s) a user will be added to when they register. The administrator can also set the default Applications the user will be subscribed to. Developed by Social Edge.



Configuration:

Group(s)

Select one or more groups to add users to.

Application(s)

Enable applications the user will be subscribed to for the groups added above.

Subscribe Users to a Daily/Weekly Digest When They Register



Allows the administrator to specify a group(s) a user will be subscribed to with Daily or Weekly Digests when they register.  Developed by Social Edge.

Select groups (or none) a user will be subscribed to with a Daily Digest when they register

Group(s) for Weekly Digest

Select groups (or none) a user will be subscribed to with a Weekly Digest when they register

Set User Default Notification Settings When They Register



Allows the administrator to set the default user notification settings when a user registers. An administrator can enable or disable settings for Activity from a user’s Subscriptions, Activity from their Network, Activity related to the content they write, Activity from their Calendar events, and Activity from Moderation (if they are a moderator). A user can enable or disable these notifications, and if enabled, the user can turn on or off Email and/or Live Alert. Developed by Social Edge.
