Known Issues - Activity Tile

This was corrected in version 2.1.
Original bug: Tile doesn't show activity when a structured outcome is removed from a piece of content (JACTIVITY-120)

On Jive-n Cloud, unmarking content with a structured outcome caused the Activity Tile to not show any activity and will display "Something Went Wrong". This can happen when any user unmarks Structured Outcomes like Official, Final, Reserved, Helpful, Correct, etc.

In version 2.1, we corrected the issue by adding support for the"outcome set", "outcome removed" and "moved" activities.

For reference…

The issue only affects Jive-n Cloud and Khoros-JX Cloud customers at this time. It does not affect Jive-n 9.X Hosted or On-Premise customers.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create content in a place

  2. Add a structured outcome

  3. Add a Jive activity tile to a page in the place and view current activity

  4. Go back to the document and "Unmark" the structured outcome

  5. The tile should display “Something went wrong”

The root cause of the issue is that the Jive Activity Tile will return zero results when the content is unmarked with a Structured Outcome.

This issue has been acknowledged by Aurea as JVCLD-65894 that we hope will be resolved in an upcoming Cloud release.

Workarounds

Follow these steps to partially restore the activity feed

  1. Go to the most recently updated content items

  2. Add a comment

  3. Delete the comment

The Activity Tile should show the most recent activity.

Troubleshooting and Opening an Aurea Ticket

To capture information for an Aurea ticket, follow these instructions below

  1. Open a Space, Group or Project in your community e.g. https://yourcommunity.com.com/community/sample

  2. While still on that page, add "/api/v3" to the end of the URL and enter, e.g.  https://yourcommunity.com/community/sample/api/v3

  3. On that page, look for the word "activity" and there is a URL next to it, copy that, e.g. https://yourcommunity.com/api/core/v3/places/12345/activities, and open that URL in the browser and look at the page.

  4. In a new tab, open the “Content” page of the place, open the most recent content item

  5. Mark the content with a structured outcome, then immediately unmark the structured outcome on the content

  6. Open the URL from step 3 and if the page is generally empty, like below, then you can reproduce the error
